Multidisciplinary Artist.

Art Educator.

Director, Little Wave Studio.

Daniella Turner De Lutis is a Multidisciplinary Artist, Art Educator, and director of Little Wave Studio. She has taught Studio Art at various Bay Area Elementary Schools, K-8 private schools, and was a Parent Teacher for her daughter's play-based Co Op preschool. She curates site hosted art experiences for children and adults as the director of Little Wave Studio.  She has been an avid student of art her entire life and her education includes Apparel Design, Visual Arts, and undergrad studies at the University of Oregon in Sociology and Spanish. Prior to working as a Studio Art Teacher, she spent 15 years working as a Costume Designer for film, TV and theater, so it's no surprise that Halloween is her favorite holiday. She lives in the Ingleside neighborhood of San Francisco with her husband Dante, daughter Ondine, and very energetic border collie Logan.

Teaching Philosophy

Daniella believes in a whole body, sensory rich, process over product approach to art making.  By focusing on process over product, children build resilience through trial and error, strengthen their problem solving skills, and find success with their own unique outcome. Through her own practice as a painter, she has learned the importance of cultivating curiosity and a willingness to experiment.
